I’ve been through the Czech Republic twice. The first time whilst inter-railing in 1995. We stayed only in Prague and I spent much time in bed with tonsilistis. The second time in 2005 during my Hong Kong to London overland with A. That time I saw much more of Prague and beyond.

When: 1995 & 2005, July both times.
Where: Prague & Kutna Hora to see the Sedlec Ossuary
Who: with a friend inter-railing and with A.
How: In and out by train each time. For Kutna Hora we hired a car.
Weather: Warm and Sunny
Food: not memorable, standard European fare
Sights: The town of Prague is lovely, the old clock, the amazing and slightly creepy Sedlec Ossuary
Surprises: Some places have way more consenants than necessary.
Tips: It’s super crowded in the summer, if you want to avoid this, don’t go in peak season. Hire a car and get out of Prague to see more of the country.
