I made it. I managed to achieve my goal to visit 70 countries (a.k.a. Travel Destinations) before I turned 40 at the start of November this year.

The pacific island of Guam was the big 7-0. Technically a territory, not a country, it still counts in my book.

Unusually for me I booked us on a package holiday. Flights and 3 nights at the Westin resort. It was a lovely break. Easy, relaxed, beautiful blue skies, beach right in front of the hotel, pool, lovely big room. In short the perfect mini break.

We did leave the tourist strip, but aside from a fun natural pool and a lunch stop there was not too much happening.

The big thing here is shopping and the island rakes in 18 billion US dollars a year from Japanese shoppers.
